Lyle Workman (Superbad, American Reunion) composed the original music. In addition, Lakeshore Records will be releasing an original soundtrack, featuring three tracks by Workman and two original songs by Jon Bon Jovi, written for the film.

BURBANK, CA — December 10, 2012 – Walt Disney Records will release the soundtrack for TRON: Uprising, the Disney XD animated television series inspired by the films TRON (1982) and TRON: Legacy (2010) on January 8, 2013. The TRON: Uprising soundtrack features the original score from the series composed by Joseph Trapanese and will only be available in digital format. In addition to the 16 tracks provided by Trapanese, TRON: Uprising soundtrack also includes remixes from 3OH!3, Opiuo, David Hiller, and a brand new track from Hollywood Records’ rising EDM star, 16-year-old Cole Plante, entitled “Rezolution.”

Bye Bye Birdie opens a new chapter in the label’s celebrated campaign to preserve the music of Broadway by entering the arena of film musical soundtracks. This new reissue of Bye Bye Birdie will include three bonus tracks and will be available on CD and via digital download January 8, 2013.

The soundtrack will be available both digitally and as a 2 CD set. A Special Edition of the soundtrack featuring six exclusive bonus tracks, seven extended score cues, and deluxe liner notes will also be available December 11. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey features original score by Academy Award® winner Howard Shore recorded at famed Abbey Road studios by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Additionally it includes an original song entitled “Song of the Lonely Mountain,” written and performed by Neil Finn (Crowded House). The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the first of a trilogy of films from Oscar-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy), will be released in the U.S. on December 14, 2012.
